@Chris well said - nothing comes close to Umbraco, and I'm glad v5 is being dropped, and making v4 even better.

I think the points in the panel on MVC being integrated into v4 is definitely the way to go - web forms are bloated and as things move towards more and more Razor scripting it just makes sense. Also glad about XSLT - it has it's uses and based on the fact you're ultimately working with XML it would be daft to drop it completely, especially for less tech-savvy web developers (I know loads of 'web devs' that don't know .Net that well, but do know XML/XSLT). Why restrict your audience - even if there's no future plans to put in XSLT 2 :)

Looking forward to the future of Umbraco - and excellent panel video btw - definitely coming to Codegarden next year :)

Not just Denmark where bad projects are kept alive by bad governments or organisations.. UK too :-)

When I found I couldn't get any of the Beta versions of v5 working, even RC 1, I thought the lifespan of v5 was limited. All I can say is that I for one am glad about it. Sure, v4 has more bugs than features, but it is well documented and has a lot of existing projects made using it.

I pray for v4.8 with enhanced business layer comes really soon. That is how they will satisfy the critics. Even with the bugs, Umbraco is the best .NET CMS out there by far.
